In addition, we warmly invite you to join our guided city tour, where you will have the chance to discover Halle’s highlights and enjoy an informal networking opportunity.
Workshop 1: How to Give a Great Scientific Presentation
12 places left
-
Date: Monday, 29 September 2025
-
Time: 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm
-
Location: Martin Luther University Halle, Audimax
-
Presenter: Marten Winter
Description:
This interactive hands-on workshop will help you improve your scientific presentations. The focus is on practical principles of storytelling, slide structure, and delivery—not on design or abstract presentation theory. Participants are asked to bring a finalized presentation (e.g. for the iDiv conference) and a laptop to work on slides.
Through examples, feedback, and short practice rounds, you will explore how different presentation styles and structures can strengthen your talk and help your audience better understand and remember your research. Be prepared to share and receive constructive feedback in a supportive, informal setting.
Workshop 2: Metabarcoding in Biodiversity Research – Application Spectrum and New Methodological Advances
